Journal History
The journal was founded in 1958 as a series of periodicals designed to provide timely acquaintance of the general scientific community with the results of scientific research in the fields of history and philosophy conducted by scientists and professors of Kyiv University and other universities in Soviet Ukraine. From 1958 to 1961 the journal was called "Bulletin of the Kyiv University. Series History and Philosophy". Professor O.A. Borodin had been working as the editor-in-chief of the journal from the time of its foundation until 1961.
From 1961 to 1966 the journal had not been being published. In 1967, after the restoration of the Faculty of Philosophy as an independent division of the University of Kyiv, the next issue of the journal was published under the title "Bulletin of the Kyiv University. Series Philosophy". The journal had been being published under this name from 1967 until 1978. In the period from 1967 to 1978, the editors-in-chief of the journal were Professor V.I. Shynkaruk (1967 - 1968), Professor V.K. Tancher (1970 - 1973), Professor P.S. Dishlevyi (1973 - 1978).
In 1978, the journal changed its name to "Bulletin of the Kyiv University. Questions of Philosophical Sciences "and had been being published under this title until 1991. From 1978 to 1991, the editors-in-chief of the journal were Professor O. Lysenko, Professor I.F. Nadolny, and Professor M.F. Tarasenko. In 1981, a special issue of the journal "Methodological Problems of Science" was published (editor-in-chief I.F. Nadolny).
In 1978, the journal changed its name to "Bulletin of the Kyiv University. Socio-political sciences "and was published under this name until 1993. Professor M.F. Tarasenko was working as the editor-in-chief of the journal during this period.
From 1993 to 1995 the journal was published under the title "Bulletin of the Kyiv University. Philosophy Political Science Sociology Psychology Professor M.F. Tarasenko was working as the editor-in-chief of the journal during this period.
In 1995, the journal changed its name to “Bulletin of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Philosophy Political Science "and had been being published under this name until 2016. Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Professor Anatoliy Konversky was working as the editor-in-chief during this period.
In 1995, the journal changed its name to “Bulletin of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Philosophy ”is still published under this name. The editor-in-chief of the journal is Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Professor Anatoliy Konversky.
